Mueloliva was founded in 1942 by Mateo Muela and over the course of the last 75+ years, it has grown from a small farm-mill to one of the leading producers and exporters of high quality olive oil in the world.
Today, all Mueloliva Olive Oils are produced and packed in their state-of-the-art "Almazara De Muela” oil mill in Andalusia, Spain.
The Almazara De Muela Oil Mill has consistently ranked in the top 10 best oil mills in the world by the “Worlds Best Olive Oil” organization. In 2019, it was ranked as the 4th best oil mill in the world.

Mueloliva also has the honor of being the only olive oil brand available in Pakistan that is recommended by the International Olive Council (IOC).
The IOC is an intergovernmental organization of more than 40 countries including all of the European Union (EU). The IOC is the only International organization where governments from different countries come together to discuss policies, standards and quality control for Olive Oil around the world.
Every year, the IOC conducts the Mario Solinas Competition where the world’s best olive oils compete against each other. Mueloliva was ranked the number 1 olive oil in the world in the “Intense Green Fruitiness” category in the 2019 edition of the Mario Solinas Competition.

In the 2019 results of the competition, Mueloliva is labelled as “Almazara De Muela” in Spanish which translates to “Muela Oil Mill” in English. Mueloliva has also won prizes in 2013, 2014 and 2016 of the Mario Solinas competition.
